Money Quest
How to play Money Quest — and beat every level
Money Quest is a ten-level game about one month of money. Each level gives you an allowance and three choices. One of them is usually the smart money move: pick it and you earn a badge. Read the levels below first, then play.
The three things you're scoring
🐷 Savings
What's left after each choice. The top verdict needs a high total.
🏆 Happiness
Saving everything and enjoying nothing loses too — balance wins.
✨ Badges
Twelve to collect. They stay with you between runs.
Every level, and how to beat it
- 1
Payday
You get your weekly allowance and pick what to do with it first.
Best move: Save a slice first, then spend the rest.
Badge: 🐷 Pay Yourself First
Saving before spending is the habit every budget is built on.
- 2
Needs vs wants
A movie with friends competes with shoes that have a hole in them.
Best move: Fix the shoes — the need — before the fun.
Badge: 👟 Needs Before Wants
Wants are fine once the needs are covered.
- 3
The big goal
Something you really want costs far more than one week's money.
Best move: Keep saving toward the goal instead of borrowing or nibbling at it.
Badge: 🎯 Goal Getter
Big wants become real plans when you save for them on purpose.
- 4
Surprise!
Something breaks and needs paying for right now.
Best move: Pay from your emergency stash.
Badge: 🛟 Emergency Ready
An emergency fund exists so a surprise doesn't wreck the month.
- 5
The shiny offer
A shop offers a small weekly payment instead of one price.
Best move: Multiply the weekly payment by the number of weeks, then skip it.
Badge: 🧮 Debt Dodger
Instalments hide the real price — always do the maths.
- 6
Price check
The same item is sold at two different prices nearby.
Best move: Compare first, then buy the cheaper one.
Badge: 🔍 Price Detective
Checking prices is free money.
- 7
Earn extra
Someone offers you paid work for a few hours.
Best move: Take the job and save most of what you earn.
Badge: 🧽 Side Hustler
Earning more is the other half of budgeting.
- 8
Sharing
A classmate needs help and you can chip in.
Best move: Give a planned amount and keep saving the rest.
Badge: 💚 Big Heart
Generosity works best when it fits inside your plan.
- 9
Make money grow
Anything you keep saved for a full month gets a bonus added.
Best move: Lock it away and let it grow.
Badge: 📈 Compound Kid
That bonus is compounding: money that earns money.
- 10
Month review
The month ends and you choose a final move.
Best move: Review what you spent and set next month's plan.
Badge: 🗒️ Budget Reviewer
Reviewing is how budgets actually improve.
Two bonus badges
💯 Century Saver
Finish a run with 100 or more saved.
⚖️ Balanced Life
Finish with 90+ saved and 12+ happiness — saving without giving up living.
How difficulty works
Leave difficulty on Auto and the game adjusts itself: play well and the next run gets tighter, struggle and it gets friendlier. You can also lock it yourself at any time.
Starter
Bigger allowance, the smart move is marked with a hint, and the lesson appears right after every choice.
Standard
Normal money, no hints, but you still see the lesson after each level.
Challenge
Tighter money, no hints, and every lesson is held back until the end of the run.
